BBA current women's tour champion Lilly pollard looks to have a strong hold on the title again with sensational display of radical controlled manoeuvres that had everyone's head turning. Pollards grace and power on the water strengthened throughout the event, pushing pro women's bodyboarding to the next level. Lilly's next event will start later this week in sepolana Spain on the world women's bodyboard tour, Lilly's win has definitely helped her prepare for the WWT.Pollards earlier heats had posted scores of 8.83 and 7.67 dominating Perth's great beachies.

Local perth teenager Lauren Williams Who's raw talent has seen her charge some awesome tubes with clean exits. Her last wave score of 6.3 pushed the teenager into 2nd place, relegating Emma Cobb (nsw) south coaster back into 3rd position in the heat. Cobb having only just won her first tour event one month earlier in Sydney's northern beaches has been following the tour searching for more wins, while Tassie's clifton beach local Nicole Flemming saw her efforts rewarded with yet another finals birth. In the early stages of the heat she had held down first position on one wave until the other competitor had two scoring rides, where the taswegian could  not find the right waves to post higher scores.

EBB Funkshen Pro Dropknee division seen current ratings leader Justin welsh make the trip over from Victoria in hope of getting a grip on the tour title, and also having the opportunity to compete against definitely the best dropknee riders in the west. Welsh's cool calm style seen his cranking snaps in the pocket well rewarded, Until West Oz Dropknee ledged and bodyboard shaper Trent sandford started his juggernaut attack on his home breaks throwing up the tail smashing sections with speed, power and control ending with huge air floats. This being Sanford's second ever Pro tour win in two years was all the sweeter being on home soil in front of his home crowd. His highest score in the final a 6.83 had the other competitors on the back foot sealing the win with a second wave score of 4.27, leaving local hellman Bazza Hammond needing a 6.06 to get back in the game. Hammonds front side attack in earlier heats saw the early departure of cowramup local Kim feast. Bazza's recent trip to indo giving him a definite edge coasting through dead sections to find the connections to the pumping shore break. Hammonds luck ran out in the final with his left-hand peak not giving him the best waves on offer leaving him in third place. Unfortunately Jason Van Bavels (jvb) no show in the final due to putting off going back to the mines up north two days in a row made it a three man affair.Jvb's recent indo trip with west oz crew seen him in carving form throughout the event laying down some heavy tracks. BBA would also like to thank all judges for there tireless efforts over the weekend with the help of computer judging system.
