Results
Round 2 of the MBA's annual competition got underway on Saturday the second
of June at Locals in Yanchep. The eager bunch of competitors were greeted
with some of the best surf in MBA history with hollow wedgey right and left
handers breaking consistently throughout the day with the offshore
conditions and sunny skies making it a most pleasurable experience for all
concerned.
Alex Halsey was the star of the day managing to win for the first time in
MBA history his 3 respective divisions. He managed to find the set waves in
every heat with some amazing action scoring him 10s on numerous occasions.
Alex pulled into some all time great waves at locals getting spat out and
boosting big of the end sections with ARS's , inverts and reverse airs.
Andy Gratidge dominated in the DK division with unbelievable control and
power. He was pullling off big hacks,spins and even manage to bust a decent
sized air thoughout his heats.
Aiden Stampalia , Jack Tanner, Scott Humphreys and Tom Seivwright also
surfed well making multiple finals. Thanks must go out to all who helped
judging and carrying all the gear to and from the road. Your help is much
appreciated.
